General FAQs

What is Sparrow Song & Dance?

Sparrow Song & Dance offers music and dance classes for children ages 2-5, fostering creativity, confidence, and foundational skills in singing, movement, and performance.

What is the structure of the program?

Our semester runs for approximately 5-6 months, culminating in a recital where children showcase their progress. Classes meet once a week, and parents can choose to enroll their child in music, dance, or both.

How long are the classes?

Each class is 30-45 minutes, depending on the age group and activity.

What will my child learn?
  • Music Classes: Singing, rhythm, pitch, listening skills, and basic instrument exploration.
  • Dance Classes: Coordination, basic steps in ballet, tap, and tumbling, and developing timing and confidence.
How do recitals work?

Our semester concludes with a recital featuring choreographed routines and musical numbers. Details about costumes, dress rehearsals, and the recital venue will be shared closer to the performance date in late May or early June.

Enrollment & Payment Policies

How do I enroll my child?

You can enroll your child by filling out the enrollment form on our website. Payment for the first month is required to complete the enrollment process.

How much does it cost?
  • Music OR Dance: $76/month (4 classes, $19 per class).
  • Music AND Dance (Combo Discount): $130/month (8 classes total, $22 savings).
  • Sibling Discount: Families enrolling more than one child will automatically receive a 20% discount on their total monthly cost.
When are payments due?

Payments for the upcoming month are due by the last day of the previous month.

  • Example: Payment for February classes is due on January 31st.

Auto-pay options are available for your convenience.

What happens if I miss a payment?

If payment is not received by the due date, your child’s spot in the program may be forfeited. Please contact us immediately if you need assistance.

Class Policies

What does my child need for class?
  • Music Classes: No special attire is needed. Children are encouraged to dress comfortably.
  • Dance Classes: Jazz shoes or other appropriate dance footwear. Links to recommended shoes will be emailed to you after enrollment.
What is the policy on missed classes?

Missed classes cannot be made up or refunded.

Recitals

When is the recital?

The recital will take place in late May or early June. Exact dates and the venue will be announced closer to the event.

Will there be a recital fee?

As this is a new program, we have not yet determined if there will be a recital fee. If there is one, details will be shared closer to the recital date.

What about costumes?

We will provide parents with links to order costumes directly. This ensures that you own the costume after the recital. Costume details will be emailed to you well in advance.
